Hiring a Diesel Mechanic to work mainly on Freightliner semi trucks. Some knowledge of freightliner trucks preferred. Trucks are newer model Freightliner Cascadia day cabs and end dump trailers. Work is done mainly in shop with some local travel for service calls.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Welding, soldering, or tire service experience is a plus.
