Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems of construction equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, cranes, graders, and generators.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, and related components.
- Repair and replace faulty parts including hoses, seals, bearings, and filters.
- Conduct engine overhauling, fuel system repairs, and transmission servicing.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and equipment diagrams.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisor and site team for breakdown support and emergency repairs.
- Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and operational safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshop tools and equipment.
Key Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or related technical field.
- 5–7 years of experience in diesel and hydraulic equipment maintenance (construction industry preferred).
- GCC experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults independently.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and workshop best practices.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems in heavy equipment is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work under site or workshop conditions.
- Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.
