Diesel Mechanic - Hydraulic Systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel systems, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to company schedules.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment conditions and repair needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and repair diagrams.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in workshop environments.
