Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel systems, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to company schedules.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
- Coordinate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment conditions and repair needs.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals and repair diagrams.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in workshop environments.
