Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions (including manual), brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Operate flatbed tow trucks, heavy wreckers, forklifts, and other specialized equipment to load, unload, tow, or recover vehicles safely.
• Load and unload vehicles or parts with precision, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Utilize automotive repair skills to troubleshoot complex problems and execute repairs that meet safety standards.
• Manage conflict situations professionally when coordinating with customers or team members during recovery operations.
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation for all work performed.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair of heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
• Hands-on experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, wreckers, forklifts, and related recovery equipment.
• Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive electrical systems is essential.
• Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy trucks is required.
• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures combined with excellent customer service skills to assist clients effectively.
• Ability to load & unload vehicles safely while adhering to safety protocols during recovery or transport tasks.
• Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally while maintaining positive customer relations. Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
