Job Description:

Process customer transactions swiftly and accurately using the cash register and point-of-sale systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Support daily café and kitchen operations by assisting with restocking supplies, food preparation, patient meal production, dishwashing, meal delivery, and other tasks as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient service. Other duties as assigned. Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally. Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments securely while issuing receipts and maintaining accurate records.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General knowledge of modified diets and ability to read and follow a diet spreadsheet.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Possess necessary skills to effectively operate a cash register or cash-handling computer system.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 2+ of experience in healthcare setting [Preferred]
• Previous experience in cashiering [Preferred]
