DIGITAL ASSET LIBRARIAN

Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $24 - 29 per hour

A leading global consumer goods corporation is seeking a contract Digital Asset Management (DAM) Librarian to oversee the organization, optimization, and streamlining of internal and external digital content. This role is critical in maintaining brand integrity and messaging consistency, ensuring that our digital repository serves as the definitive "single source of truth" for all stakeholders and provides a seamless user experience.

The primary focus of this four-month engagement (beginning early to mid-April) is to facilitate a brand acquisition migration. You will be responsible for transitioning

Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration: Complete internal training to master the organization's specific DAM architecture, taxonomy standards, and metadata requirements.
  • Asset Migration: Execute the end-to-end transfer of assets, including batch downloading from external sources, renaming files according to corporate conventions, resizing media, and performing final uploads with precise metadata tagging.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with the existing Librarian team to align on project scope and technical requirements.
  • Project Governance: Maintain detailed tracking logs and provide status reports to the Senior Librarian and Marketing Operations Manager.
  • General DAM Maintenance: Provide ad-hoc support for the platform, including collection curation, search optimization, and indexing, to support the broader marketing ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level DAM platforms, including taxonomy design and metadata application.
  • Technical Literacy: Comprehensive understanding of diverse file formats (still imagery, video, social media assets, 3D files, and web content).
  • Industry Standards: Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS), web publishing workflows, and Digital Rights Management (DRM).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced creative environment, and strong communication skills.
  • Global Collaboration: Comfortable working within a cross-functional, international team structure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Sitecore DAM.
  • Familiarity with taxonomies related to CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), specifically within the food, retail, or pet product sectors.
  • Previous experience navigating the complexities of brand acquisitions or divestiture.
