The Digital Business Development & Account Lead is responsible for managing the PGA of America’s existing alliance portfolio and developing new digital growth opportunities. Work as a central strategic operator by bridging external partners with internal departments to ensure the commercial and operational health of the organization’s digital platforms. Translate high-level organizational goals into tactical execution, qualifying new leads, and proactively seeking strategic alliances that expand the digital ecosystem to better serve PGA Professionals and the golfing public.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Partner Stewardship: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners, managing day-to-day needs and ensuring all contractual obligations and deliverables are met.
Strategic Expansion: Identify incremental opportunities within existing accounts to deepen partner integration, unlock new mission-driven or commercial value, and maximize renewal potential.
Tactical Execution & Advocacy: Translate high-level goals into detailed project plans; act as the primary advocate for the digital team in cross-functional forums to ensure digital priorities are represented in the broader PGA roadmap.
Lead Qualification: Act as the first point of contact for inbound partnership inquiries, qualifying leads based on strategic alignment and driving internal evaluation.
Association Stewardship: Educate external partners on the PGA of America’s unique identity and mission, ensuring all partnerships prioritize value delivered to PGA Professionals.
Strategic Discovery: Lead the discovery process for new prospects, architecting bespoke solutions that solve complex partner challenges by creatively leveraging, or developing, new opportunities within the PGA digital assets.
Process Standardization: Refine and standardize process frameworks and "playbooks" for partner onboarding and management to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
Digital Product Integration: Manage partner-specific strategies within digital platforms such as PGA Coach, MyPGA, PGA Value Guide, and Golf Retirement Plus (GRP).
Performance Reporting: Maintain data integrity and reporting for existing accounts; provide real-time, actionable insights into account health and performance metrics for senior leadership.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for monitoring partner-related financial obligations, processing reconciliations, and assisting the Director with departmental budget tracking.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Four to seven years of experience in strategic partnerships, business operations, digital media, or project management.
Proven experience navigating matrixed organizations and gaining buy-in from internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, Legal).
Experience within a "digital-first" ecosystem (SaaS, digital media, or tech-enabled services) is preferred.
Knowledge of the golf industry, including market trends and the business needs of PGA Professionals, is preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Must have knowledge in strategic account stewardship and digital product ecosystems, specifically the ability to manage high-level partner portfolios. Knowledge in business development and process optimization. Must have working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts. This includes using AI to enhance business operations and drive innovation, enabling us to better serve our Members and stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 15%.
