We are a fast-growing fintech company seeking a Community Outreach Intern to join our team remotely. This internship program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience:
Round 1 (Spring – March to June): An internship during the spring months where you will be fully immersed in community engagement, outreach initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. You will actively contribute to expanding our presence across trader communities and strengthening relationships with early adopters.
Round 2 (Summer – Extension): For interns who excel in the spring and are invited to continue. This extension allows you to take greater ownership of community growth initiatives, partnerships, and feedback systems, with the potential for future full-time opportunities.
In this role, you will focus on engaging with trader communities across platforms such as Discord, X (Twitter), Reddit, and Telegram. You will help recruit early adopters, moderators, and creators while building strong feedback loops between the community and our internal product teams. You’ll work in a remote and collaborative environment, helping shape our community growth strategy and ensuring our users feel heard and valued.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement: Actively engage with trader communities across Discord, X (Twitter), Reddit, Telegram, and other relevant platforms. Participate in discussions, answer questions, and build authentic relationships with users.
Early Adopter Recruitment: Identify and recruit high-potential early adopters, moderators, and creators who align with our product vision. Help onboard them into our ecosystem and maintain ongoing relationships.
Creator & Moderator Outreach: Develop relationships with active community members who can become ambassadors, moderators, or content contributors. Support them with resources and communication to ensure strong engagement.
Feedback Loop Development: Collect structured feedback from users regarding product features, usability, and requests. Organize insights and share clear summaries with product and leadership teams to inform decision-making.
Community Growth Strategy: Support outreach campaigns, ambassador programs, and grassroots initiatives to expand our presence within trading communities.
Event & Initiative Support: Assist in coordinating community events, AMAs, discussion threads, or engagement campaigns that drive participation and retention.
Reporting & Insights: Track engagement metrics, growth trends, and sentiment across platforms. Prepare weekly summaries highlighting key discussions, feedback themes, and community momentum.
Requirements (Must-Have)
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to engage authentically in online communities. Comfortable representing the brand in public forums.
Community-Oriented Mindset: Genuine interest in online communities, fintech, trading, or digital ecosystems. Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse audiences.
Relationship-Building Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to identify influential or high-value community members.
Organization & Responsiveness: Ability to manage conversations across multiple platforms while maintaining clear documentation of feedback and outreach efforts.
Self-Motivation: Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Proactive in identifying engagement opportunities and initiating conversations.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Fintech/Trading Knowledge: Familiarity with trading communities, investing culture, or fintech platforms.
Platform Experience: Prior experience actively participating in or managing Discord servers, Reddit communities, Telegram groups, or X (Twitter) accounts.
Community Moderation Experience: Experience as a moderator, ambassador, or community lead in online communities.
Growth & Outreach Exposure: Familiarity with grassroots marketing, ambassador programs, referral campaigns, or community growth initiatives.
Data & Reporting Skills: Basic experience tracking engagement metrics or summarizing qualitative feedback into actionable insights.
Team Collaboration: Experience working in startups, student organizations, or collaborative online projects.
