General Description

This part time position consists of uploading digital content to our e-commerce platform and support of all digital marketing initiatives. In this multi-faceted role your main objective will be to translate the MFA Shop’s vision into creative digital content. You must be excellent at visual storytelling, passionate about design, the MFA Shop and the diverse set of brands we feature as part of our merchandise selection. Most importantly, be willing to collaborate and self-motivated. You will be responsible for uploading digital content and work closely with the General Manager of Retail to align overall brand visuals. In addition, preparing social media content for all marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a creative background in Marketing, Graphic Design or E-Commerce with a desire to identify areas of opportunity as well as have a strong analytical approach.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare digital content for e-commerce platform and support of marketing initiatives
  • Implement a holistic digital strategy across e-commerce platform
  • Manage a weekly/monthly calendar that aligns website content with email and social initiatives
  • Create compelling digital content that drives engagement
  • Capture photos on-site and/or from retail vendors
  • Proactively identify opportunities for A/B testing and optimization
  • Analyze and report on sales of consumer data via Shopify Analytics to drive sales and growth
  • Collaborate with key partners (i.e. Managers, Buyers & Museum Departments) to present cohesive brand strategies across sales channels
  • Report business KPIs and growth objectives weekly and monthly, applying outcomes and opportunities for future strategies
  • Create and assist in curating Home Page highlights and content pages
  • Work collectively with the warehouse and Shop teams on order fulfillment
  • Respond timely to customer inquiries
  • Other duties assigned depending on operational priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable and demonstrable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of design, the MFA Shop and featured brands
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce trends through past work experience or personal passion
  • In depth understanding of web analytics
  • Passion for product and storytelling and translating your efforts into meeting goals and objectives.
  • Strong creative mind with an eye for graphic design and an appreciation of brand content
  • Proficient in Shopify, Photoshop
  • Experience working across digital platforms, Shopify, Google Analytics, Instagram and Facebook is a plus
  • Excellent skills in writing and editing
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with an ability to problem solve and identify areas of opportunity
  • Passionate about learning
  • Well organized and self-motivated to complete assigned tasks
  • Thoughtful communicator who loves to work collaboratively and always brings new ideas to the table

Position Available:

Title: Digital Content Coordinator

Reports to: General Manager, Retail

Classification: Non Exempt/Hourly

Schedule: 24 hour work week – hours will vary

Pay Rate: $18.00/Hour

Work Location: Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Work will primarily be performed in an office and retail store environment. Work will involve extended computer use.   • Must undergo and meet company standards for criminal background check and reference checks.
