THE ROLE
In this role, you will provide design/engineering support to engineers to develop complex and complete 2D and 3D models for highway and/or bridge projects during the design and construction phases of these projects. These models and associated data will be used for engineering, construction, and asset management purposes to support the continued implementation/transition of BIM throughout the agency. In addition, you will be tasked with keeping up to date on the quickly evolving road and bridge related technologies, including digital delivery, data management, digital twins, generative design, modeling and analysis, ISO-19650, model as the legal document, and CAD to GIS. You will also collaborate with BIM leaders from around the country through groups such as The Highway Engineering Exchange Program (HEEP) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to help reshape the way CTDOT delivers projects.
You will be part of a team responsible for managing CAD Applications, using Bentley OpenRoads Designer and OpenBridge Designer as well as Bentley Infrastructure Cloud. You will help in-house employees, develop training guides, and provide training as necessary.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- First Shift.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid (in-office/telework) and alternate work schedules may be available.
