Overview
Razorfish is looking for a Digital Designer to help bring functional, engaging, user-centered, beautifully executed digital and web experiences to life for some of the most recognizable automotive brands in the world.
In this role, you’ll concept, craft, and create designs and visual assets to help guide the design of high-performing work across channels and devices while applying your passion for visual storytelling, your eye for detail, and your ability to work within and evolve established design systems. You’ll shape brand evolution through smart design and strategic thinking, in close collaboration with creative and cross-disciplinary teams.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role and will require onsite engagement an average of 3 days/week for candidates local to markets where Razorfish has an office. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Detroit, Miami, Chicago, or Atlanta markets but highly qualified candidates in other locations may also be considered.
Responsibilities

Concept and execute visually compelling interactive designs that are innovative, strategically grounded, on-brand, and user-focused.

Design responsive web pages and digital experiences that are brand-consistent and user-centered.

Create, apply, and evolve components within established design systems and libraries.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX, product, content, strategy, and technology.

Present and articulate design decisions with clarity and confidence to internal teams and client stakeholders as needed.

Stay current on digital trends, design best practices, and emerging tools.

Leverage and expand scalable, on-brand design systems.
-
Implement website accessibility standards.
-
Simplify complex ideas through thoughtful visual storytelling and intuitive interaction design.

Develop clear visual hierarchies and compelling visual concepts.

Prepare and package design assets for development or final delivery as needed.

Support research and prepare visual presentation materials for internal or client-facing meetings.

Participate in internal reviews and client presentations with guidance from senior designers and creative leads.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Design, or a related field; experience may be substituted.

2-6 years of prior professional digital and web design experience, preferably in an advertising agency environment.

An interest in the automotive industry; prior experience working with automotive clients is a plus.

Outstanding skills with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote, and Figma as well as basic video editing and clipping

Experience designing UX artifacts such as wireframes and mockups strongly preferred.

Experience designing digital visual assets from scratch as well as compositing, slicing, resizing, and assembling from an existing asset library.

Experience managing day-to-day visual updates to a .com experience as well as designing and creating microsites, landing pages, seasonal campaign pages, etc.

Excellent conceptual and executional creative and visual storytelling skills.

Highly collaborative but independently capable.

Confident, self-directed, and independent with outstanding organizational and time management skills as well as a meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, continuously-evolving environment.

Very strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

Excellent listener with an ability to take direction and guidance, receive constructive criticism, and continuously improve personal process.

Compensation Range: $66,785-$79,100 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
