Perimeter College is seeking (1) dedicated and experienced Digital Designer

This position provides graphic and creative support to Perimeter College’s Public Relations and Marketing Communications office. To effectively support our growing communications initiatives, the addition of a dedicated digital designer is essential. As visual storytelling becomes increasingly critical in engaging diverse audiences across digital and print platforms, the demand for high-quality, on-brand creative assets has significantly increased. A digital designer will enhance our ability to produce compelling visuals for campaigns, presentations, social media, and internal communications, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all materials. This role will also streamline production timelines, reduce reliance on external vendors, and allow for more agile responses to emerging needs. Investing in this position will directly contribute to elevating our brand presence and improving stakeholder engagement.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Digital Designer are the following:

  • Functions as the top designer for digital and print communications for Perimeter College.

  • Maintain the integrity of the University's visual identity guidelines.

  • Handle strategic digital and print design projects from conceptualization to completion.

  • Design and produce visual assets to be used on digital and print platforms in various ways.

  • Stay up to date on design trends for digital and print media.

  • Serve as an expert on the use of Perimeter College logos and branding tools.

  • Work closely with writers, designers, photographers, illustrators, and editors to assist with digital and print communications.

  • Work with web developers to design visual assets for web pages.

  • Art directs photo and video shoots.

  • Format and upload marketing slides to digital screens.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong management and design skills.

  • Knowledge of design for digital and print media used in Public Relations and Marketing Communications.

  • Knowledge of Mac OS and design programs (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Media Encoder)

  • Knowledge of CRMs and CMSs preferred (i.e., WordPress and Salesforce)

  • Effective oral and verbal communication with external and internal customers.

  • Ability to ideate at the concept level as well as the visual.

  • Ability to multi-task, train staff, supervise, and use independent judgment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
