***The advertised pay rate is available 10/10/25***Reporting directly to a Felony Prosecutor III and the Chief Investigator, responsible for providing professional legal administrative support to the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Organizes, documents, and notates electronic and paper case filesMaintains confidentiality and security of records and informationRequests defendant criminal history priors by either email, fax, or postal mailAssists law enforcement agencies with receipt of evidenceResponds to internal and external status requestsManages physical media files and archives evidence files upon final dispositionReceives documents from investigators or records secretary after initial discovery requests have been fulfilledReleases copies of evidence in criminal cases (discovery) in a timely manner to defense attorneys upon official requestFacilitates referral of cases to County Attorney’s Office and access to Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS)Interacts with defense attorneys regarding the viewing of material which must be made available, but which cannot be copied pursuant to state lawCopies, redacts, and converts video and audio files as requested in compliance with state law and court ordersPrepares digital copies and logs-in discovery requests and receiptsRecords proof of discovery transactions in the digital file of each caseFacilitates the Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) discovery processesReviews charging document, verifies charges with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and reports to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)Reviews indictments and works with assigned Prosecutors to obtain court orders necessary to release discoveryOrders certified copies of prior convictions, driving, and incarceration records as directedPrepares Jury Seating ChartsUpdates Juror Spreadsheet with notes before and after Jury TrialMonitors felony case reports, dockets, and event lists and responds as necessaryReceives and handles phone calls and communicates messagesReceives, reviews, distributes, and handles correspondenceAttends all meetings and trainings as requiredPerforms special duties as assignedORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPSReports directly to – Felony Prosecutor IIIDirect Reports – NoPHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, prolonged reading, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, repetitive motions, and standingPosition involves occasional lifting and carrying of up to fifty (50) pounds and exertion of up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force to move objectsENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSWork is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environmentHigh-volume legal office with stressful situationsIRREGULAR HOURSWork outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be requiredMay be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergencyRegular attendance is requiredThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
