POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Analyst is part of the analytical division of the County Detective Bureau. This position compiles, reviews and analyzes materials related to the investigation and prosecution of crimes in Bucks County. This position utilizes tactical, strategic and administrative crime analysis to develop connections between individuals and criminal networks. This position works directly with enforcement personnel and prosecutors to gather and interpret raw data related to criminal investigations and prosecutions, chart crime patterns, and determine the location and extent of criminal activity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess training, knowledge, and experience in the fields of investigations and/or criminal prosecutions.

Advanced technological skill set and ability to analyze complex data; must have the flexibility to adopt, embrace and employ newly developed technologies as needed.

Ability to utilize a variety of specialized analytical and intelligence systems; Local, State, and Federal databases; as well as open-source outlets and social media platforms.

Prepare oral, written and graphical presentations for operational output.

Collect digital intelligence from mobile device forensics and upload forensic extractions into telecommunications databases for analysis and investigative overlap.

Ascertain, analyze and process digital surveillance video to further criminal investigation and prosecution.

Develop and maintain inter-agency communication with law enforcement and intelligence personnel and exchange information of mutual interest.

Synthesize data to develop recommendations to mitigate or prevent crimes.

Responsible for quality control of data entered into various intelligence databases in order to maintain the integrity of intelligence data received and /or disseminated; this includes ensuring all intelligence data is properly classified, stored, and handled in accordance with Local, State, and Federal guidelines.
