Why This Role Exists:

The role is responsible for shaping Zee5’s creative and strategic vision by curating impactful content, building a strong brand identity, and launching innovative initiatives across languages and formats. It will drive platform growth through mass-appeal tentpoles, niche narratives, and micro dramas, while nurturing creative talent and strengthening the writer’s ecosystem. By leveraging audience insights, anticipating trends, and fostering collaboration, the role ensures Zee5 delivers impactful storytelling with cultural relevance and business growth.


About the role:

  • Strategize for the AGP targets - Working alongside the language teams and co-creating the image of Zee5, across all 7 languages – through the selection and launches of mini series and tentpoles
  • Building the Identity of Brand Zee5 - Building the Mass Niche narrative, with the larger vision and strategy for building the Brand
  • New Initiatives - Driving new Initiatives across various wings of Animation, Global Indians Diaspora, Mega Tentpoles – with a vision for “India’s Squid Game moment”.
  • Micro Drama / Bullet - Ensuring Content supply for the Micro Drama / Bullet vertical, working alongside the language teams. Increasing quantum of supply through innovation, repurposing, etc.
  • Strategic Initiatives - Formulate strategies serving the omni-purpose – developing IPs that can travel markets conserving the regional flavour and identity. Knowing trends in the markets and identifying new narratives, spaces - redefining what India watches.
  • Enabling a Story Seeds and Talent Development – Creating a pool of writers room, script doctors and engage with the best creators across markets to process the inflow of the best stories coming to the organisation, while grooming budding talent.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Work Exp. 15+ Years. in TV/ Film content creation, Television Channels and OTT platforms
  • Education Qualification: Post–Graduate in Communications
