Role Overview

The Digital Identity Tower Lead is responsible for end-to-end leadership, governance, and delivery of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services within a managed security services environment. This role ensures that digital identity platforms are secure, compliant, highly available, and aligned with regulatory and business requirements, particularly for enterprise, telecom, and banking environments.

The role combines strategic oversight, technical governance, service delivery excellence, and stakeholder engagement, acting as the primary authority for all digital identity–related services.

Key Responsibilities

Identity Strategy & Governance

  • Own and drive the digital identity strategy, roadmap, and service model aligned with client security and regulatory objectives.
  • Establish and enforce identity governance frameworks, access control policies, and lifecycle management standards.
  • Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., NCA, CST, ISO 27001).

Technical & Architectural Oversight

  • Provide architectural leadership and design approval for:
    • Microsoft Active Directory (enterprise and hybrid environments)
    • Nokia NIAM
    • Red Hat Directory Services and Red Hat SSO
    • Identity federation and authentication frameworks
  • Ensure secure implementation of SSO, federation, and role-based access control (RBAC) across applications and platforms.
  • Oversee integration with related security domains such as PKI, data security, and infrastructure services.

Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Own service availability, performance, and SLA compliance for identity services.
  • Ensure effective identity lifecycle operations including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and privilege management.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Drive automation to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance service reliability.

Risk, Compliance & Audit Management

  • Ensure identity platforms are audit-ready at all times, with strong logging, traceability, and evidence management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to privileged access, orphaned accounts, and federation failures.
  • Lead identity-related regulatory assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.

People & Capability Leadership

  • Lead and mentor identity security specialists, senior specialists, and consultants.
  • Ensure consistent service quality, documentation standards, and skills development.
  • Build a high-performing identity services team aligned with client expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary escalation and governance contact for clients on digital identity matters.
  • Support solution design, service onboarding, and technical assurance for new and existing clients.
  • Provide trusted advisory support to client leadership on identity security best practices.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in identity and access management, directory services, or identity security.
  • Proven leadership experience managing enterprise-scale IAM services.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Active Directory (design and operations)
    • SSO and federation technologies
    • Identity lifecycle and access governance
  • In-depth understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).

Preferred Certifications

  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator (Expert level)
  • Red Hat Certified Architect (Security / SSO track)
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor
  • Vendor-specific IAM certifications (e.g., Nokia NIAM)

Reporting & Engagement Model

  • Reports to: Head of Managed Security Services / Cybersecurity
  • Engages closely with:
    • Client security and IT leadership
    • Compliance and audit teams
    • Infrastructure and data security service owners
