Job summary:
The Digital Lead Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting potential customers through digital channels. The successful candidate will manage the entire digital sales pipeline, from initial prospecting and lead qualification to closing new business. This role works closely with the marketing team to optimize digital campaigns and ensure a consistent, positive customer experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead generation and prospecting:
- Research and identify new business opportunities using online databases, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Execute outbound prospecting activities through phone calls, emails, and social media to generate new sales leads.
- Respond promptly to inbound sales calls and web leads, effectively qualifying prospects to determine their needs.
- Sales process management:
- Develop and execute digital sales strategies to grow the sales pipeline and meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Manage the sales opportunity pipeline using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, such as Salesforce, ensuring all interactions are accurately logged.
- Conduct needs analysis with prospects to recommend tailored products and services.
- Negotiate and close sales in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Digital strategy and optimization:
- Analyze digital sales data to optimize strategies, improve conversion rates, and enhance the customer journey.
- Collaborate with marketing to align digital campaigns with sales objectives and maximize the impact of lead-generation activities.
- Use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to monitor campaign performance and report key metrics (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Product knowledge and industry expertise:
- Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as industry trends and competitors.
- Become a subject matter expert on the company's digital offerings to effectively communicate their benefits to prospects.
- Reporting and analysis:
- Generate and present regular reports on sales performance, lead activity, and pipeline status.
- Identify areas of opportunity for new advertising efforts or product enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in digital sales, lead generation, or a similar role, with a strong track record of exceeding sales quotas. Experience with SaaS or technology sales is often a plus.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is essential.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, such as email marketing, paid advertising, SEO, and social media.
- Experience using web analytics and marketing automation tools is highly desirable.
- Soft skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
