Digital Marketing Associate

California Miramar University (CALMU) is a growing, career-focused university committed to helping students transform their futures through business, technology, and AI-driven education.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Associate who can tell CALMU’s story in a way that is clear, memorable, and persuasive. This person will help translate what makes CALMU distinctive into compelling digital marketing that strengthens our brand, supports enrollment growth, and helps prospective students quickly understand who we are and why we stand out.

This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity, strong execution, strategic thinking, and a data-informed mindset. The ideal candidate can connect daily marketing tasks to broader enrollment and brand goals, while also producing high-quality campaigns and digital content.

This position serves as a key bridge between the Marketing Ops Manager and the domestic recruitment team, helping ensure digital marketing efforts align with broader marketing strategy and enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across web, email, social media, and webinar channels
  • Design and produce graphic assets including social graphics, email banners, landing page visuals, flyers, and other branded collateral
  • Build, update, and optimize website pages and landing pages to support lead generation and enrollment goals
  • Plan and deploy email marketing campaigns including copywriting, segmentation, A/B testing, and performance tracking
  • Support social media content planning, campaign coordination, and cross-platform execution
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and executing webinars and virtual events
  • Monitor campaign analytics and prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Ops Manager to align digital efforts with broader marketing strategy and enrollment goals
  • Help strengthen CALMU’s storytelling and brand presence across all digital touchpoints

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or a related field
  • Internship and freelance work is welcomed
  • Experience in higher education, digital marketing, content marketing, or brand management is preferred
  • Prior experience in roles such as Marketing Specialist, Content Creator, Digital Marketing Intern, or similar is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to create digital marketing content across design, web, email, and social
  • Comfort with tracking results and adjusting strategy based on performance

Required Skills & Platforms

  • Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Website CMS platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress, Squarespace, or similar
  • Google Workspace, including Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as HubSpot, Later, Hootsuite, or Buffer
  • Google Analytics or basic web analytics tools
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and campaign tracking
  • Video editing fundamentals for short-form marketing content
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Schedule

  • Based onsite in San Jose
  • Flexibility for occasional off-site events or field work

What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months

  • Establish and manage a consistent digital content pipeline across email, web, and social channels
  • Improve website and landing page performance to support enrollment growth targets
  • Build a reporting cadence that tracks campaign effectiveness and informs future strategy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
