JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing Coordinator

SUPERVISOR: Marketing & Public Relations Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in elevating Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA’s (RMHC-CP) digital voice and online visibility. From shaping compelling digital stories to engaging donors and supporters online, this role drives awareness of our mission and the impact we make for families every day.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator manages e-newsletters, social media content, website updates, and digital campaigns that grow engagement and inspire community support. With guidance from the Marketing & PR Manager, this position brings RMHC-CP’s brand to life through creative content, strong storytelling, and data-informed strategy.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Communications

  • Develop, write, and distribute monthly e-newsletters, donor updates, and campaign communications
  • Maintain and segment email lists; track analytics including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Assist in developing strategies to improve donor engagement and stewardship touches
  • Work with the Marketing & PR Manager to ensure all messaging reflects RMHC-CP’s brand, voice, and mission

Social Media Management

  • Create, schedule, and monitor content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Highlight families, volunteers, donors, events, and RMHC-CP impact stories
  • Track metrics, analyze engagement, and provide recommendations for audience growth and donor conversion
  • Respond professionally to community interactions on social media platforms according to the organization’s social media policy

Digital Storytelling & Content Creation

  • Capture and curate stories through photography, video, and written content
  • Interview families, volunteers, and staff to highlight mission impact while protecting privacy
  • Collaborate with Marketing & PR Manager to ensure content aligns with organizational priorities and campaigns

Website & Online Presence

  • Work with website vendor to assist with website updates, ensuring accurate, timely, and relevant content
  • Support SEO, accessibility, and content strategies to maximize online visibility

Special Events & Campaign Support

  • Support digital promotion of events, fundraising campaigns, and McDonald’s partner initiatives
  • Provide on-site social media coverage, photography, or videography as needed
  • Assist in follow-up messaging and donor recognition post-event

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

We seek qualified, enthusiastic candidates with a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences to broaden our team. At all levels, everyone gets involved and pitches in to get the work done. Work requires extended periods of computer use and includes occasional travel across central PA, event attendance during evenings or weekends, lifting up to 30 pounds, and outdoor work in varied weather conditions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Passion for the RMHC-CP mission and a sincere desire to support the families and children we serve.

· Demonstrated experience writing and producing digital content (samples required)

· Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

· Strong skills with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Meta Business Suite

· Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar

· Ability to capture clear, high-quality photos and short-form video using a smartphone or camera for social media and storytelling

· Ability to produce consistent, professional digital content efficiently

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently

· Clean PA State Police, PA ChildLine, and FBI fingerprinting clearances required

· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and cellphone required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience using WordPress or similar website systems

· Experience with photography/videography equipment and editing software

· Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising or donor communications

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field

· 1-3 years’ experience in digital marketing and communications

· Previous nonprofit donor engagement experience preferred

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT:

Candidates may be asked to provide samples of social media posts, digital newsletters, graphics, or other marketing materials they have created.

SALARY RANGE: $22-$24/hour
