DEPARTMENT: MARKETING

REPORTS TO: DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

STATUS: PART TIME (NON-EXEMPT) FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE 10-30 HRS/WK.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Start your digital marketing journey with real, hands-on experience supporting youth sports facilities. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you'll assist our team with day-to-day tasks across social media, websites, and basic analytics. You'll learn by doing, get coaching from experienced marketers, and build practical skills that translate to a full-time role. This is a four-month internship (January-May). Academic credit is available if needed. Strong performance may lead to consideration for a future full-time role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Campaign Support

  • Assist with facility campaign setup including drafting copy and scheduling campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn and Google Ads using team approved guidelines
  • Help organize images, links, and creative assets for paid social campaigns
  • Assist with setting up basic accounts (e.g., Google Business Profile, Yelp) using checklists and training

Website & Landing Page Support

  • Make simple website edits in WordPress/Elementor (text, images, buttons, forms) with guidance
  • Help create and proof basic landing pages from provided wireframes or templates
  • Check pages for spelling, links, and basic formatting; flag issues to the Website Manager

Analytics & Reporting

  • Pull basic metrics from tools like Google Analytics and social platform insights using templates
  • Help compile weekly or monthly reports for the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Track simple KPIs (e.g., clicks, form fills) and note trends for the team to review

Cross Team Collaboration

  • Keep task lists up to date and help manage timelines for small assignments
  • Coordinate with facility marketing contacts to collect details (hours, photos, event info)
  • Participate in team check-ins, ask questions, and share progress

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduating College Senior or Recent Graduate
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Interest in marketing and a willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Clear, friendly communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with social media business tools and/or schedulers
  • Basic comfort with WordPress or website editors
  • Introductory knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools
  • Experience with simple task/project tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com)
  • Curiosity about SEO and UX basics
