Digital Marketing Lead – Luxury Villa Rentals & Travel Services (Remote)

Reporting to: Fractional CMO and Founder

As we expand our direct-to-consumer focus, we are seeking a Digital Marketing Lead to own and drive our digital growth agenda. This role will be central to increasing direct bookings through strategic use of performance marketing, website optimization, SEO/SEM, and data-driven insights for both The Sun Secret Collection and its sub-brand, The Sun Secret Private Collection.


Role Overview

The Digital Marketing Lead will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s digital marketing initiatives with a strong focus on performance-driven campaigns and owned channels. With strategic guidance provided by the Fractional CMO, you will execute and optimize digital strategies to build visibility among UHNWIs and generate measurable revenue growth.

This is a hands-on role that combines digital expertise with the finesse required to market luxury brands while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position.


Key Responsibilities


Campaign Management & Ongoing Optimization

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns (search, display, social, retargeting) to drive direct bookings from target markets.
  • Manage budgets across channels, ensuring campaigns are efficient, ROI-focused, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Implement A/B testing and conversion optimization strategies. Direct design/copywriting teams as to creative requirements by channel. 


Website & Owned Channels

  • Continuously oversee the optimization of the website for performance, UX, and conversion. Ensure the site reflects luxury brand standards while functioning as a high-performing sales channel.
  • Collaborate with social media lead on optimized content and retargeting efforts. 
  • Lead the email campaign strategy, segmentation, automation, reporting and performance tracking. 
  • Implement and manage CRM integration and marketing automation to capture, nurture, and retarget high-value UHNW prospects.


SEO & SEM


  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic visibility in luxury travel search categories, continuously updating the strategy as required. 
  • Managing the Journal/blog content calendar with the support of our internal copywriter. 
  • Manage SEM campaigns, ensuring alignment with key destinations, seasonal demand, and UHNW audience targeting.


Data & Analytics


  • Present digital marketing dashboards and reporting (weekly/monthly) focused on the overall digital performance. 
  • Track, analyze, and provide actionable insights to optimize spend and performance.
  • Translate data into recommendations for ongoing campaign and website improvements.


Brand & Content Alignment


  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to ensure campaigns and digital assets reflect luxury positioning.
  • Leverage storytelling and digital formats suitable for UHNWIs.
  • Collaborate with PR/Content lead on optimizing press releases with required keywords and influencer partnerships (e.g., sharing performance data, collaborating on social content)


Team Management 


  • Oversee two direct reporting lines: a Performance Marketing Specialist and a Reporting & Analytics position. Offer guidance, mentorship and ensure upskilling needs are met. 
  • Monitor progress and ensure alignment with departmental goals and priorities set by the Head of Marketing.


B2B & Trade 


  • Support digital B2B communications to engage partners, increase brand awareness and support lead generation.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Proven track record in digital marketing with a focus on performance marketing, SEO/SEM, owned channel optimization and data/analytics.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in luxury brand marketing, ideally in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Experience targeting UHNWIs / HNWIs, with an understanding of how to market to discreet, discerning audiences.
  • Strong background in B2C digital marketing; B2B marketing experience a plus.
  • Expertise in analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4, Data Studio, etc.) and ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn).
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong grasp of UX/UI best practices for high-conversion websites.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret insights into actionable strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with sensitivity to luxury brand tone.
