POSITION: Digital Marketing Manager

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the holistic management and execution of CSB’s digital marketing campaigns, aiming to amplify our online presence and enhance our customer’s financial wellbeing. They collaborate intensively with the Research & Segmentation Manager, Creative Director, Digital Banking team and other business line leaders to ensure alignment with business objectives, KPIs, and initiatives.

This role oversees the Digital Marketing Associate(s) and encompasses digital marketing planning, strategy development, and execution of all digital campaigns for CSB and its digital banking division, Ivy Bank, as well as the hands-on consultative support of projects managed through the digital banking team.

In this role, the Digital Marketing Manager will support the Ivy Bank and Digital Banking teams in execution on the overarching strategic direction, which includes the support of new product development, product enhancements & implementations, and the ideation, creation, and execution of go-to-market plans and campaigns, including digital growth, vendor management, media buying and channel consideration, landing page optimization, and oversight across a spectrum of digital channels, including owned channels, SEO/SEM, digital display, text-based ads, paid social, and remarketing.

With an emphasis towards data-driven insights, the Digital Marketing Manager sets campaign goals and monitors, optimizes, and reports on campaign KPIs, leveraging market research and digital trends to refine strategies ongoing. Upholding CSB’s values, the Digital Marketing Manager cultivates a solution-focused approach, fostering internal and external partnerships and championing empathy, listening, and understanding in all communications.


Key Result Areas:

  • Craft, implement, and monitor digital marketing strategies for the designated business line(s) to drive online activation and engagement, attract new digital audiences, enhance cross-selling opportunities, and ensure retention of existing online customers.
  • Engage actively as a core member of the marketing team, digital team, and associated business lines, acquiring in-depth knowledge of digital business objectives and challenges, and actively participating in the development of solutions.
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop Digital Marketing Associate, and indirectly manage cross-organizational team members, ensuring coherent execution and alignment of digital strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Research & Segmentation Manager to identify research opportunities as well as support the implementation and analysis of consumer research, online trends, and digital analytics to stay ahead of the digital landscape and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure ongoing, proactive, and timely analysis and reporting on digital campaigns, showcasing performance metrics and potential areas for optimization during governance meetings, Senior Leadership team updates, and with other internal stakeholders.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of Banking regulations, specifically digital advertising regulations, and seamlessly integrate them into all relevant marketing campaigns, ensuring proper process and documentation as well as working alongside legal, compliance, and risk partners to find creative solutions, as needed.
  • Coordinate the creation, deployment, and tracking of digital assets with both internal teams and external digital agencies, including content creators, designers, ad agencies, and tech service providers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with legal and compliance departments, guaranteeing robust internal digital controls, audits, and timely sign-offs.
  • Lead research, due diligence, and negotiation of digital media buys and vendor relationships. Oversee planning, strategy, and execution of digital campaigns and assets for all online campaigns related to the respective business lines.
  • Collaborate on diverse projects within the marketing department and across other departments, ensuring consistent brand messaging and strategy alignment.
  • Proactively contribute to addressing and resolving digital challenges, opportunities, and concerns impacting the bank. Stay adaptable and open to assuming additional digital-related tasks as the evolving digital landscape demands.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (+) coupled with 7 to 10 years of progressive digital marketing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising and emerging marketing channels, including paid search and display, email marketing, Podcasting/OTT, social media, online/web, and experiential.
  • Experience with financial services, digital banking tools, customer life cycle management, and segmentation helpful.
  • Must have hands-on-experience capturing and reporting on campaign performance and activities with a strong ability to analyze campaign data and derive actionable insights and outcomes. Proven skills in campaign analysis are essential. Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills to compose written correspondence, campaign copy, etc.
  • Understanding of media channels, media planning, and creative development process
  • Excellent program and project management skills – development of concepts, KPIs, - must be extremely well organized with attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through.
  • Ability to think strategically (big picture) and be willing to roll up your sleeves, and work through details to ensure successful execution.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization and confidently lead and influence when it comes to areas of expertise.
  • Comfortable owning, managing, and working on multiple projects at a time; willing to take on (and initiate) new projects as needed by the marketing department and the company.
  • Able to work independently and confidently make thoughtful decisions, be fully accountable for his/her work, take full ownership over the completion of projects and tasks, adhering to deadlines and working within defined scopes and budgets.
  • Experience with budget development & management.
  • Proven vendor relationship management skills
  • Experience in regulated industries a plus but not a requirement.
  • Hands on experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads
  • Working knowledge of email management systems (SendGrid, Constant Contact), Website CMS’s, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Campaign Management systems, Performance tracking & reporting platforms (Tableau)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word – Power Point – Outlook, and Excel.
