Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Manager will serve as the product owner for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and lead the global marketing automation strategy across multiple business units. This role will oversee a team of specialists, manage complex data integrations, support lite front-end microsites hosted on WordPress platforms, and architect scalable campaigns and customer journeys that drive engagement worldwide. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and secure data flow between SFMC, Salesforce Service Cloud, Snowflake, and external platforms, while mentoring a team and supporting international users across multiple time zones.This role blends technical depth, product ownership, and leadership, making it the central SME for SFMC integrations, governance, and marketing automation best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
  • Serve as the product owner for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, driving adoption, governance, and enhancements.
  • Lead a team of SFMC Specialists responsible for campaign execution, ad hoc sends, and content management.
  • Administer and support global Business Unit users, including onboarding, access management, and troubleshooting.
  • Define and maintain platform standards, ensuring compliance, scalability, and performance across international markets.
  • Oversee data integrations with Salesforce Service Cloud, Snowflake, external APIs, and sFTP file exchanges.
  • Architect and maintain scalable data models linking subscriber profiles with business data (orders, coupons, attributes) for advanced personalization and decisions splits.
  • Architect and implement audience segmentation strategies, including automated creation of complex, SQL-based audience segments delivered to each BU to enable targeted campaigns without manual segmentation.
  • Develop and manage SQL-based audience segmentation strategies to automate complex audience builds for regional markets.
  • Ensure proper data governance and partitioning to meet compliance, privacy, and market-specific requirements.
  • Design, build, and optimize lifecycle, triggered, and promotional campaigns across global markets.
  • Implement automated workflows for segmentation, triggered sends, and campaign orchestration.
  • Develop dynamic personalization and automation using AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript, and API-driven processes.
  • Partner with IT and marketing teams to extend SFMC integrations with external platforms (SMS, recommendation engines, data warehouses).
  • Provide light front-end support for microsites hosted on WordPress platforms.

  • Advise marketing and creative teams on content direction based on feasibility within SFMC, including personalization, dynamic content, and template usage.
  • Mentor and coach SFMC Specialists, providing technical and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, Compliance, and regional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions, scoping and refining requirements to ensure feasibility within platform and technical constraints.
  • Act as the SFMC subject matter expert for leadership, ensuring the platform supports evolving global marketing needs.
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in a digital marketing and strategy development role.
  • 2 years of experience managing a digital marketing team.
  • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Content Builder, CloudPages, MCP, Einstein Recommendations).
  • Advanced SQL, AMPscript, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
  • Strong HTML/CSS skills with knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, sFTP automation, and enterprise-scale system integrations.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and other enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and deliverability best practices (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification for Google Adwords and/or Google Analytics.
  • 5 years effectively managing corporate paid advertising campaigns across major networks.
  • Network Marketing experience.
