Digital Marketing Project Manager

Washington, United States

About Us

District Consulting is a boutique marketing and communications firm supporting private and government clients across B2C and public sector initiatives. We’re known for high-quality creative, data-driven strategy, and strong partnerships with diverse small businesses.

About This Role

District Consulting is seeking a Digital Marketing Project Coordinator to join our contractor bench and support ongoing content, outreach, and system improvement work. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and proactive - someone who knows how to manage a social calendar, chase down approvals, and keep digital campaigns on track without needing hand-holding.

You’ll work closely with the Principal to help organize systems like ClickUp, Pipedrive, and HoneyBook and assist with light sustainability tracking and vendor sourcing as part of our green business practices.

Requirements

  • Maintain project timelines and prepare social media content calendars with enough lead time for reviews, edits, and scheduling
  • Manage social post scheduling and basic engagement across platforms
  • Build and maintain content calendars for social, blog, and email campaigns
  • Support SEO-friendly blog writing (drafts, outlines, formatting)
  • Coordinate and follow up on outreach emails, proposals, and simple business development tasks
  • Monitor and flag relevant government RFPs or open solicitations
  • Track proposal submissions and follow-ups in Pipedrive
  • Support content tasks: blog outlines, reports, captions, or newsletters
  • Help organize shared folders, templates, and client assets for team use
  • Help clean up and optimize ClickUp, Pipedrive, HoneyBook, and shared folders
  • Track open RFPs/solicitations and flag relevant ones for follow-up
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Assist with light sustainability reporting (e.g., number of local vendors used, digital-only campaigns, vendor sourcing)
  • Please note: While this is a remote-first role, we are specifically seeking candidates based in the DMV area, with a preference for those located in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing coordination, project support, or operations
  • Solid writing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, able to spot what's missing, keep things moving, and manage priorities
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, content scheduling, and calendar management
  • Comfortable learning and using ClickUp, Pipedrive, HoneyBook, Google Drive, Canva
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing professionalism
  • Available during core EST hours at least 3 days per week

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with sustainability tracking, local vendor sourcing, or grant compliance
  • Familiarity with DC government contracting or business development
  • Implementation / optimization experience with key tools and/or digital platforms
  • Light creative or video editing skills using Canva or Adobe tools
