Report To: Director of Marketing

Time: Full-time Year-Round

Compensation:

  • Salary: $58,000-$65,000.00
  • Bonus: $3,000.00 - performance based

Role Overview:

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in shaping how guests discover, plan, and experience our three ski resorts across the Midwest. This position leads email marketing strategy and execution while also supporting website management, campaign analytics, and broader digital initiatives. The ideal candidate combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver campaigns that drive guest engagement, visitation, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Marketing Leadership: Plan, create, and execute email campaigns including copywriting, design, segmentation, automation, and reporting.
  • Campaign Calendar Management: Oversee a multi-brand email calendar to ensure timely, targeted communication across all resorts.
  • Creative & Content Development: Write brand-specific, guest-focused copy for email, web, and digital channels; design and edit creative assets for campaigns and promotions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with resort operations, events, and marketing teams to align messaging with seasonal campaigns, promotions, and resort experiences.
  • Website Content Management: Update and optimize web content through CMS platforms, ensuring SEO best practices and guest conversion optimization.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using GA4, CRM dashboards, and related tools; provide actionable insights to improve engagement, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
  • Support for Integrated Marketing: Contribute to paid media initiatives, digital advertising campaigns, and social/digital content projects as needed.
  • Team & Resort Support:
  • Provide marketing support for your home resort and collaborate with the central marketing team on shared initiatives, campaigns, and guest communications.
  • Flexibly support additional marketing and resort needs as they arise, including assisting/facilitating with events, guest communication, or special projects.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally within hospitality, tourism, recreation, or destination marketing.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across multiple resort brands and guest audiences.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (BeePro, Marketing Cloud, Acoustic, Ascent 360, Klaviyo, or similar).
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms (Drupal, WordPress, or similar) and understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Analytical skills with experience using GA4, CRM dashboards, or related tools to track and report on campaign performance.
  • Proficiency in creative tools such as Photoshop, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite for campaign design and asset editing.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
