About Us

SCM Marketing Solutions is a digital marketing agency based in the Fox Valley. We work with local Wisconsin and Illinois businesses, mostly home services, contractors, and B2B companies, helping them grow through paid advertising, SEO, websites, and content. We're small, which means you'll actually know our clients, see your work drive real results, and have room to grow.

The Role

We're hiring someone to take over our paid advertising work and help with content and SEO. That means running Google Ads and Facebook Ads for a portfolio of clients, managing social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reels, etc.), writing and publishing blog posts, handling on-page SEO tasks like keyword research and optimizing content for search, and putting together email campaigns and newsletters for clients when needed.

This is a work from home role with a few in-person client meetings per month in the Fox Valley area.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Build, launch, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (search, display, some YouTube)
  • Build, launch, and optimize Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Write and publish blog posts in WordPress for client sites (we can teach you WordPress if you don't know it yet)
  • Manage social media content for clients across platforms. Posting to Facebook and Instagram, creating Reels and TikToks when it makes sense, and staying on top of what's working on each platform
  • Handle on-page SEO work. Keyword research, optimizing blog posts and page content, meta titles and descriptions, and flagging technical issues for the dev team
  • Build and send email campaigns and newsletters for clients (we use platforms like ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp)
  • Pull performance reports and help walk clients through results in weekly meetings
  • Flag opportunities and issues you see across client accounts

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • You've actually built and managed Google Ads campaigns, either in school projects, an internship, or a previous job. We don't care if it was small, we care that you've done it.
  • Some hands-on experience with Facebook Ads Manager
  • Canva and/or Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) skills. You'll be designing graphics and visuals for social media
  • You can write a clear, readable blog post without leaning on AI to do all the work
  • You're comfortable on video calls with clients and can explain marketing concepts to non-marketers
  • You're organized and can juggle multiple client accounts without losing track

Bonus points for:

  • SEO fundamentals (on-page basics, keyword research)
  • WordPress experience
  • Google Analytics or GA4
  • Short-form video editing (TikTok, Reels, CapCut, etc.)
  • Copywriting experience of any kind

You do not need:

  • 5 years of agency experience
  • A fancy degree from a big school
  • To have run six-figure ad budgets

If you're graduating this spring or finished a digital marketing program recently and you're hungry to learn, apply. We'll train you on our processes and our clients. We'd rather hire someone who's sharp and motivated than someone with a long resume of mediocre work.

How We Onboard

The first 30 days you'll shadow the owner on every account so you understand the client, the history, and the strategy. From there we'll gradually hand off accounts to you, with full reviews before any changes go live. By month three you'll be running ads independently with a weekly check-in.
