ABOUT THE POSITION
The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a central role in driving new member growth for Salt Strong’s Insider Club. You will own the digital funnel, from ad creative and landing pages to email flows and post-purchase upsells, focused entirely on attracting, converting, and retaining new Insider Members.

This position is ideal for a data-driven marketer who thrives on testing, optimization, and creative problem-solving. You will collaborate with our content, creative, and analytics teams to craft high-performing campaigns that expand our reach and accelerate growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Landing Page Creation, Management, and Split Testing
    Develop, manage, and optimize landing pages that convert visitors into new Insider Members through A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Sales and Order Form Creation, Management, and Split Testing
    Build and refine sales and checkout experiences to maximize conversions and reduce friction in the new member sign-up process.
  • Ad Script, Headline, and Copy Creation
    Write and test ad copy for paid social, YouTube, and search campaigns that engage anglers and clearly communicate the value of joining Salt Strong.
  • Post-Purchase Upsell Testing
    Create and manage post-purchase upsell strategies and split tests to increase average order value and member engagement.
  • Email and SMS Workflow Creation and Split Testing
    Design, test, and optimize automated email and SMS sequences that nurture leads and convert them into paying members.
  • Customer Acquisition Campaign and Offer Creation
    Develop and execute creative membership acquisition campaigns, including limited-time offers, trials, and referral programs.
  • Lead Scoring Creation and Management

Build and maintain lead scoring systems to prioritize high-intent prospects and improve overall conversion efficiency.

  • Daily Email Management and Segmentation for Prospects
    Manage prospect email lists and segment audiences for personalized campaigns to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Ad Analysis and Direction
    Monitor performance data daily, provide insights on ad effectiveness, and guide creative and targeting adjustments for better results.
  • Directing the Graphic Design Team
    Collaborate with and provide direction to the design team to produce high-converting creative assets, including ads, landing page graphics, and promotional visuals that align with campaign goals.
  • Coordinating with IT, Operations, and Customer Service
    Maintain clear communication and alignment with IT, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time delivery of marketing assets and smooth execution of all campaigns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in digital marketing with emphasis on recurring membership sales
  • Proven success in lead generation, conversion optimization, and paid media campaigns.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot Marketing Hub for workflow automation, lead scoring, and campaign tracking.
  • Experience using funnel-building platforms (e.g., ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or similar).
  • Familiarity with digital product creation and management platforms such as SamCart.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Experience with A/B testing, email/SMS automation, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Ability to incorporate and train AI systems in all marketing work to maximize output.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an understanding of direct-response and performance-driven messaging.
