Digital Marketing Specialist (Website & SEO)

Formulatrix is looking to hire a Digital Marketing Specialist – Website & SEO to strengthen our digital marketing capabilities and support sales growth across our Protein Crystallization (PC) and Filtration (FLT) product lines. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in market development within the life science industry, manage a globally visible web presence, and build expertise across a broad range of scientific applications and SEO disciplines.

The ideal candidate is motivated to become a subject-matter expert in proteomics, structural biology workflows, drug discovery, and tangential flow filtration (TFF) applications. This role requires a balance of technical website management, search engine optimization, data-driven reporting, and creative content production. The candidate will also embrace AI-powered tools and automation workflows to enhance efficiency and output across all digital marketing activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve product, application, and resource pages for the Formulatrix website, ensuring content is accurate, on-brand, and search-optimized.
  • Create and manage landing pages, resource posts, event pages, and home page content for PC and FLT product lines in close collaboration with Product Managers and Application Scientists.
  • Update, optimize, and archive older web pages and media assets to keep the digital presence current, organized, and aligned with the latest product developments.
  • Plan and execute technical SEO improvements, including mobile optimization, site speed, schema markup, and crawl health across all product pages.
  • Implement Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to improve brand and product visibility in AI-driven search environments (Google SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc.).
  • Conduct ongoing keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitive benchmarking; perform quarterly SEO audits and report findings to the marketing team.
  • Standardize and optimize the eStore for PC and FLT products, ensuring consistent product naming, imagery, descriptions, and SEO best practices are applied across all listings.
  • Develop and maintain eStore reporting plans to track traffic, conversion, and revenue attribution.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive website performance reports for PC and FLT using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Ahrefs.
  • Implement and govern UTM tracking frameworks to accurately attribute traffic and evaluate the impact of all marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the Chinese-language website, coordinate translation workflows, and apply localized SEO strategies to grow organic visibility in the Chinese market.
  • Update and maintain third-party product directories and coordinate third-party marketing placements to maximize product discoverability beyond owned channels.
  • Use Figma for website and eStore design mockups and collaborate with the graphic design team to improve the visual experience for PC and FLT digital properties.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate AI tools and automation workflows — including AI agents and Claude AI — to streamline content creation, SEO operations, reporting, and routine web tasks.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and the graphic design team to produce product videos, images, and diagrams that communicate the value and applications of our instruments.
  • Maintain and expand the centralized Marketing Library for PC and FLT, ensuring all assets are properly organized, versioned, and accessible to the global marketing team.
  • Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all website and SEO workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills in English when liaising with global teams, presenting reports, and producing customer-facing web copy.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1–2 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in the life sciences, biotech, or scientific instrumentation industry.
  • Proven experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, including page building, plugin management, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools including Google Search Console, SEMrush, and/or Ahrefs; familiarity with technical SEO audits and on-page optimization.
  • Experience with web analytics platforms - Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and UTM campaign tracking - to generate actionable performance insights.
  • Familiarity with eStore platforms and experience applying SEO and UX best practices to product listings.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools for digital marketing workflows; exposure to AI automation, AI agents (e.g., Claude AI, ChatGPT), or building simple AI-assisted tools to streamline tasks such as content drafting, SEO analysis, or data reporting.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite - including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro - for producing and editing marketing visuals and product videos is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging web content.
