SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing Strategist will have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies in order to develop, implement, track, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels for both the agency and its clients. This is an integral role in the marketing department as it develops and executes full-service, integrated programs. This position would report to the Director of Marketing, and partner with in-house resources such as developers, designers, and content marketers as needed to develop and optimize campaigns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Strategy:
- Works with the Marketing Director in developing comprehensive marketing plans and strategies for the agency and its clients.
- Strategizes and executes digital marketing campaigns inclusive of SEO, SEM, email, social media, ABM, and display advertising tactics.
- Designs and uses reports to identify trends, optimize campaigns, assess against goals, and report to stakeholders based on findings.
- Partners with content, design, and development teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns, delivering content across multiple industries and product technologies.
- Architects and configures marketing automation platforms, especially HubSpot, to support clients’ marketing processes and meet their goals.
- Plans, executes, and measures results via experiments, conversion tests and A/B testing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Project Management:
- Successfully provides direction to and supports staff in managing digital campaigns.
- Serves as a point of contact for clients with digital-based accounts.
Agency Strategy & Growth:
- Stays up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Evaluates emerging technologies for adoption, providing insight on behalf of the agency and/or its clients.
- Supports business development initiatives and marketing campaigns for the agency through digital campaigns.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in a related field from a four-year college or university, and five to seven years of related experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: Marketing automation and reporting tools such as HubSpot, Pardot, and/or Marketo; CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot; social media publishing tools; CMS (WordPress); Google G-Suite; and Microsoft 365
- Other skills required:
- In-depth experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Ads campaigns
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Solid knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics/Search Console/Tag Manager)
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas, Terminus)
- Working knowledge of social media channels and social advertising
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
- Familiarity with web design and UX
- Highly creative, with experience in identifying and segmenting target audiences to engage, inform and motivate
