JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a full range of tasks in the design and development of internal and external facing marketing materials (digital, print, and video). Working as part of Creative Team and closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, this position will be responsible for design projects from concept to final execution such as branding development, ad campaigns, website graphics, sales collateral, billboards, social media graphics, in-store point of sale materials, set design, instructional and promotional videos, and animations for social media and owned placements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create digital assets that maintain brand integrity and elevate the brand internally and externally.
- Manage creative projects from concept through execution and align materials with the corporate brand and messaging.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that processes, projects, and interactions with stakeholders are consistently engaging and enlightening.
- Participate in and assist with other phases of marketing efforts as needed.
- Maintain Lottery look and feel logo and image library.
- Develop templates and best practices for common projects within team and across the organization.
- Work closely with colleagues in marketing and across the organization, leading creative review processes efficiently and effectively.
- Attend professional development seminars and/or trainings to stay current with Digital Graphic techniques.
- Work Lottery’s daily live drawing or remote/studio productions as needed.
- Represent the Lottery at special events which may require working some weeknights and weekends.
- Ability to travel throughout MA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent related work experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience designing for both print and digital as part of a creative agency (external or in-house).
- Portfolio demonstrating technical expertise and creative background is a must.
- Must be proficient in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Knowledge of UI/UX, environment/wayfinding design, photography.
- Be a creative and innovative thinker, results-oriented and comfortable working within a collaborative environment.
- Must be a self-starter able to identify opportunities for improving processes and deliverables.
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly within a team setting, able to set and manage expectations around deadlines and utilization of resources.
- Ability to gracefully take constructive feedback and pivot as new design challenges arise.
- Must have excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must have high attention to detail, be able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and work well within a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro.
- Knowledge of game design and gambling industry.
- Knowledge of Canva, Figma, Sketch, Axure, and AI tools.
- Experience designing PowerPoint presentations.
- Knowledge of large format print processes, color separations, and firey digital printing.
- Expressed interest in other creative fields.
- Acting and announcing experience.
Salary Range Information
For external applicants who are not current employees of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission (MSLC), the non-negotiable starting salary for this position is $84,090.55 (Job Grade 24/Step 1).
For current MSLC union employees, the starting salary for this position will be calculated using union promotional rules.
