A Brief Overview


The Mortgage Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients in obtaining a mortgage to purchase or refinance a property, The employee will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, including evaluating and determining preliminary eligibility based on financial information, completing and when needed, closing loan applications. This role requires an individual with excellent customer service and communication skills, who understands the mortgage loan process and is knowledgeable in all loan products available. The Mortgage Account Executive must be able to build and maintain relationships with clients and real estate agents in order to ensure the best possible loan product and terms. In this role the incumbent must ensure excellent customer experience including ensuring a digital end to end process.



What you’ll do


  • Interview clients to gather and analyze financial information to offer the best product available which will meet their needs.
  • Compiles and organizes all clients’ information needed, according to type of loan requested, and executes the processing of documents to accelerate the approval process. If necessary, visits customer to complete the required information.
  • Ensures loans are disclosed and process is followed according to all regulatory requirements including but not limited to TRID, TILA, RESPA, FCRA,
  • Fully explain the mortgage process and sets the right expectations of what the experience will entail.
  • Manage leads received to ensure high application conversion rate, by promptly answering all phone calls and lead opportunities. Ensuring follow up is within the established quality standards. Update system accordingly.
  • Provide electronic content, encourage use of e-consent to facilitate a timely closing of the loan, fully explain the loan estimate (LE), and obtain intent to proceed, and initial documentation.
  • Maintain communication with client throughout the processing period to ensure service continues to meet their needs, conveying the appropriate level of urgency and professionalism to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain excellent client and realtor relationships to ensure they are converted into a referral source.
  • Participate in the analysis and discussion of strategies which will assist to increase leads and improve overall conversion rate.
  • Identify cross selling opportunities for other FirstBank products and services.



What You’ll Need to Succeed


Education


    • High school degree and experience that provide the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions is required
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or a related field preferred
    • Mortgage Loan Originator License or technical courses preferred


Knowledge


    • 2 years of experience in the Mortgage Business in a similar position, of residential mortgage lending experience with a focus on generating business is required


    • 1 to 2 years of experience as Entry-level Mortgage Loan Officers in the financial services industry, often through roles such as Loan Processor, Loan Assistant, or Customer Service Representative in a bank or credit union preferred.
