The Product Owner position is responsible for supporting the product vision and high-level priorities and communicating the product vision, strategy and direction to the product development team. This position contributes to the product roadmap and capabilities for development of customer facing enterprise products and services for all ACE markets.

This position requires a high degree of skill in converting business priorities into product backlog and user stories in order to ensure we are developing the right product for our members, aligning with business goals and objectives and driving positive business results.

The position is a great collaborator and a fast self-learner with great problem solving and troubleshooting skills, possesses the ability to communicate and collaborate on requirements, and takes complex problems and redefines them, re-scopes them, and transforms them into simple solutions.

Job Duties

Understand the product vision, high-level priorities, and business goals from the Lead Product Owner or Senior Product Owner for multiple products. Develop, implement, and communicate all strategic initiatives related to multiple products. Convert high level priorities into the smallest possible user stories. Create acceptance criteria for user stories in the backlog. Develop detailed user stories which may include some or all of the following supplemental information, as applicable on a case by case basis: business process flows, data flows, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams. Prioritize the product backlog and partner with the Lead Product Owner or Senior Product Owner to define KPIs and business goals for their product. Collaborate with the multiple product development team to document requirements and formulate usability and acceptance tests.

Help the design team understand and consult regarding product flow and rules for multiple products in order to provide designs to the development team. Collaborate with the product development team to document requirements and formulate usability and acceptance tests. Document requirements for the backend services teams so that they can deliver backend services to the development team. Work with the design team to formulate timely and effective usability a/b tests. Convert insights from user and usability tests into user stories.

Participate in stand-ups and retrospectives. Facilitate iteration planning meetings. Escalate risks and issues through team meetings, formal and informal. Determine the next build to release. Write release notes. Monitor and report on defects, crash reporting and convert crashes/defects into stories.

Work with multiple areas of the organization including product distribution channels, sales, marketing, etc. to ensure the multiple product line initiatives are effectively communicated and promoted internally and externally to drive achievement of targeted goals.

Maintain a high level of skill and current knowledge of product line and apply knowledge in creation of flow and rules that help guide the development of product initiatives.

Cultivate relationships with external vendors, partners, backend services teams, and development team members in the development of digital products.

Position requires a high degree of independent decision making and problem-solving skills. Informs the development and implementation of new processes.

Qualifications

Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred

4-6 years Product management, product development, Agile product owner or related experience for enterprise products or programs.

Demonstrated experience in project management required.

Demonstrated experience managing KPIs for multiple enterprise products required.

Budgeting, forecasting, and/or strategic planning experience required.

Able to think strategically and transform strategy into actionable plans required.

Experienced in defining and leading implementation of new processes.

Advanced ability to coordinate and control projects required.

Ability to understand the needs and wants of our members and align strategy to meet their expectations.

Goal-oriented, with ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and financial forecasting.

Advanced organization, planning, and problem resolution skills required. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and develop various products at different stages of development.

Clear understanding of user interface (UI) and the basic principles and design qualities that have been shown to make web applications easier to use.

Requires moderate ability to compile, analyze and interpret statistical data.

Excellent communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, including authorship of product-related documentation.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and senior executives.

Ability to achieve business results and remain positive and focused on moving forward, regardless of obstacles, displaying cheerfulness in the face of adversity.

Ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.

Strong team member who inspires, innovates, and delivers results to add value and make a difference.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$120,500.00 - $160,800.00
