ERP / Core Systems Transformation Director
Our client, a leading financial services organisation in the UAE, is undertaking a major enterprise-wide digital transformation to modernise its core systems and operational platforms. As part of this strategic initiative, they are seeking an experienced ERP / Core Systems Transformation Director to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale ERP and core platform transformation programmes.
This role will play a critical leadership position in replacing and integrating legacy systems, enabling improved operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end ERP and core systems transformation programme, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for modernising finance, operations, and enterprise systems.
- Oversee large-scale ERP implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Manage complex multi-year transformation programmes with significant budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, finance, operations, risk, and compliance.
- Lead vendor selection, implementation partners, and system integrators.
Technology & Architecture
- Ensure alignment between ERP platforms, core banking systems, and digital channels.
- Drive integration across enterprise systems, including finance, procurement, HR, and reporting.
- Establish scalable, cloud-enabled architectures to support future growth.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with executive leadership including the CIO, CFO, and Head of Transformation.
- Provide regular updates to executive committees and governance boards.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and technology vendors.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure transformation initiatives align with financial regulatory frameworks and governance standards.
- Implement strong programme governance, risk management, and reporting processes.
- Deliver systems capable of supporting enhanced compliance, reporting, and audit requirements.
Required Experience
- 12-15+ years of experience in enterprise technology or transformation programmes.
- Proven leadership experience delivering large-scale ERP or core platform implementations within financial services.
- Experience managing complex multi-country or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of finance systems, regulatory environments, and operational workflows in banking or financial services.
- Experience working with major ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
