Qualification
- DCP (Diploma in Clinical Pathology) – Mandatory
- Registration with Tamil Nadu Medical Council (or relevant Medical Council)
- 0–3 years of experience in hospital diagnostic laboratory (freshers can also apply)
Job Summary
The Lab Doctor (DCP) will be responsible for supervising laboratory operations, validating diagnostic reports, ensuring quality control, and supporting clinicians with accurate and timely laboratory results.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic & Reporting
- Review, interpret and validate laboratory reports (biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, clinical pathology).
- Ensure accuracy and timely release of patient reports.
- Provide critical value alerts to clinicians as per hospital protocol.
Laboratory Operations
- Supervise daily functioning of laboratory technicians and phlebotomists.
- Ensure proper sample collection, handling, processing, and storage.
- Monitor internal and external quality control programs.
Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants for case discussions and clarification of results.
- Assist clinicians in test selection and interpretation when required.
- Support emergency services with urgent lab reporting.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure NABH and statutory compliance in all lab processes.
- Maintain documentation, records, and audit readiness.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management protocols.
Equipment & Safety
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Monitor reagent usage and stock levels.
- Adhere to safety standards within the laboratory.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: ₹48,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 6 per week
