Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) Child & Family Team Facilitator to lead collaborative efforts in supporting children and their families through complex situations. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, facilitating family-centered meetings, and ensuring that children’s safety, well-being, and developmental needs are prioritized. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about fostering positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families. You will play a vital role in guiding families through challenging circumstances, promoting effective communication, and connecting them with essential resources to create lasting stability.
Duties
- Facilitate family team meetings by bringing together social workers, child welfare professionals, legal representatives, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Act as a neutral mediator to support open dialogue among family members and team members, ensuring all voices are heard and respected.
- Coordinate services related to child protective services, behavioral health, childcare, and family law to address the unique needs of each family.
- Assist families in navigating crisis situations through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.
- Monitor progress on individualized plans, providing ongoing support and adjusting strategies as needed to promote child welfare and family stability.
- Document meeting outcomes, action steps, and follow-up activities accurately in case management systems.
- Provide education to families about their rights, available resources, and the importance of consistent participation in service plans.
Requirements
- 21 Years of age.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth in settings such as social work, childcare, or child welfare agencies.
- Strong knowledge of child protective services protocols, family law, and behavioral health practices.
- Skilled in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to facilitate productive discussions among diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Demonstrated competency in conflict resolution, behavioral health assessment, and trauma-informed care approaches.
- High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services or a related field; additional certifications in child welfare or family law are a plus. Join us to make a meaningful difference by empowering families through compassionate facilitation and expert coordination!
