Direct Care Staff/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote independence.
• Monitor clients' physical and emotional health, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

• Experience working in a group home or similar setting is preferred.
• Proficient in patient care techniques, including first aid and emergency response.
• Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, including dementia care and hospice care experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
• Flexibility in adapting to changing client needs and schedules.
