Job Description – Direct Support Professional

Hiring for the following shifts:

(PART TIME) Sat & Sun: 12am(midnight) - 8am

(PART TIME) Sat & Sun: 8am - 4pm

(PART TIME) Sat & Sun: 4pm - 12am (midnight)

(FULL TIME) Sat - Tues: 4pm -12am (midnight)

(FULL TIME) Wed - Sun: 4pm - 12am (midnight)

Reports to: House Manager /Executive Director/ Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of clients
• Provide care and training to the clients as outlines in the program plan and the client's IPP, as well as the program plans outlines by the behavioral consultant for each client
• Comply with facility's policies and regulations
• To provide and supervise recreational activities in the facility and the community
• To keep facility neat and clean
• To prepare nutritional meals and snacks
• To provide home-like setting for all clients living in the home
• To assist clients with self-administration or prescribed medication
• To recognize early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance
• To utilize necessary community services and resources
• To keep on-going notes as required by the regional center
• Promote special and individual events for residents
• Attend resident conferences, if needed
• Attend classes and seminars to meet the requirements of continuing education including but not limited to CPI, Pro-ACT, DSP1 and DSP2, etc.
• Report any occurrences to on coming shift, as appropriate
• Attend mandatory monthly trainings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to complete background investigation.
• At least one year of experience working with populations with intellectual disabilities.'

Pay: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour
