Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Duties

• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence. Ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and rest rooming (meeting physical demands of the role).
• Safely operate a vehicle to transport individuals to community outings, activities, and to their residences.
• Comfortable working with individuals who may have behavioral or complex needs.
• Support individuals during meals by helping prepare food, assisting with eating when necessary, and encouraging healthy eating habits.
• Implement individualized care plans by following prescribed procedures for medication administration, mobility assistance using specific equipment, and documenting care provided accurately.
• Provide companionship and social engagement through activities that foster emotional well-being, including recreational outings or group activities aligned with residents’ interests.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing daily duties.
• Observe and report any changes in individuals’ behavior or daily routine promptly to supervisors or administrative staff.

Experience

• Prior experience working in the field is preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of communication skills, being creative and a good probelm solver.
• Experience with medication administration, care planning, and documentation within HIPAA guidelines.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to perform some lifting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols including CPR and first aid certification ensures readiness for emergency situations.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
