Direct Support Professional

THIS IS A PART- TIME POSITION. ONLY REQUIRED THIRTEEN HOURS PER WEEK OF DIRECT CARE. THE SCHEDULE/HOURS FOR THIS INDIVIDUAL MAY VARY WEEKLY.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual. This role focuses on promoting independence, supporting daily living skills, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in a respectful, person-centered manner
• Assist with grocery shopping, including planning, budgeting, and transportation as needed
• Support meal planning and basic food preparation to encourage healthy eating habits
• Perform and assist with light housekeeping tasks (e.g., dishes, tidying living spaces)
• Encourage independence and active participation in daily routines
• Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities & provide new ideas to integrate successfully into community
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
• Document services provided according to program requirements

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with residents & families while maintaining a compassionate atmosphere.
• The person applying must be able to provide transportation to the individual. MUST have a valid driver's license, registration & insurance for vehicle.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
