Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Transportation

Job Summary:

A Preferred Choice Home Health Care LLC is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Transportation to safely transport individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to and from their day support programs. This position requires a caring individual who can provide supervision, ensure safety, and offer minimal assistance during transport.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport clients to and from day support programs in the morning (and/or afternoon if needed)
• Ensure clients are secured properly in the vehicle at all times
• Provide supervision and support during transport
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff
• Report any concerns, incidents, or changes in client condition
• Follow all company policies and state regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred (but not required)
• Ability to be patient, dependable, and professional
• Must pass background check

Schedule:

• Morning shift (example: 8 AM – 10 AM)

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
