Direct Support Staff

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients in a group home setting. Your focus will be on delivering personalized care and assistance while fostering independence and dignity.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide client awareness to ensure safety and well-being.
• Engage clients in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel.
• Implement Care Plans and support to clients in reaching goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or direct support roles is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Ability to assist clients physically as needed while promoting independence.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
