Director - Ambulatory Surgery

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
      • A registered nurse that provides management for the delivery of patient care in Ambulatory Surgery. The Director for Ambulatory Surgery is responsible for the operation of a service in a fiscally responsible manner and seeks new opportunities for improvement of services to patients/customers including efficiency programs and cost reduction efforts including the evaluation and implementation of processes to improve patient flow. The Director for Ambulatory Surgery supports the mission of the health system and is directly accountable to the Senior Director of Surgical Services.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • Three years progressive perioperative or peri-anesthesia management experience either in the ASC setting or the acute hospital setting required
      • Experience with budget development and compliance is required.
    • Education and Training:
      • B.S.N. required
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • RN License- Licensed as an RN in MA
      • CNOR, CSSM, CPAN or CAPA required
