Director-Architecture

Drive and coordinate the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (Business, Application, Information & Infrastructure architectures) for internal information systems.
Conduct the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (Business, Application, Information & Infrastructure architectures for internal information systems.
Establish an end-to-end vision of the overall architecture design and provide technology leadership to the business unit architecture in terms of focus, technical direction, and breadth of coverage of relevant technologies

Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or function. Provides expert guidance, promotes innovation and formally trains groups of less experienced professionals.

  • Proficient with functional and technical knowledge, recognized as an expert in own area within the organization. Serves as an advisor, coordinates and guides others in resolving complex issues with implications on cross functional business processes and outcomes.

  • Understands industry drivers, uses financial indicators to measure performance and effectively drives business decisions; recommends solutions/best practices and strategies in own area. Contributes with the planning and organization of an area and to large scale decision-making processes.

  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Provides leadership and direction to other Managers and contributes to a culture of innovation.


Specific accountabilities:

  • Drive the definition of strategy and technology direction in a specified domain
  • Lead the development of Enterprise Architecture Roadcharts (blue tabs)
  • Provide advice and expertise in support of governance decision making process and establishment of standards and roadcharts (blue tabs).
  • Manage a community of Architects to define and adopt best solution among several proposals based on business requirements
  • Communicate Enterprise Architecture outcomes to users: directors, managers, business users …
  • Provide input to the Demand management teams to support the analysis of customer needs/expectations and the identification of optimal solutions.
  • Identify technological advancements and practices which could be of interest to Amadeus.
  • Carry out technical studies and conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) to evaluate a given technology and its utility for Amadeus.
  • Optimize current architecture and support on-going projects
