Director, Business Transformation

SUMMARY

Provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. Works closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. Serves as an intermediary between the senior business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and senior business leaders to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual form which applications and solutions are developed. Acts as an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business community. The Senior Business Analyst will act as a critical advisor to the team providing deep functional expertise in the work plan, standards, processes, and change management efforts.


ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as conduit between business, senior leadership, and IT.
  • Partner with business senior leadership and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements and identify business needs.
  • Evaluate the requirements and translate them into function and technology solutions to meet the organizational goals and vision.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff)
  • Design and deliver presentations to senior management on the results of post transformation audits, highlighting systemic issues and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess the risks by considering the S&P, IA and Legal terms for all projects.
  • Coordinate and manage change across the cross-functional teams.
  • Provide leadership and direction for continuous improvement of processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Assess and manage the solution and implementation partners, other vendors, etc.
  • Manage projects and enhancement queues for various business areas.
  • Manage small to medium sized new enterprise-wide technology projects.
  • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Understand the project management methodologies
  • Able to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements
  • Ability to develop strategy and drive multiple, simultaneous projects based on business strategy and requirements
  • Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio, Smartsheet, Jira and CRM.
  • Facilitate successful delivery for assigned releases - Ensure internal IT and business needs are clearly identified, designed, and constructed to meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Business units and IT partners to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables such as user stories, business process models, as well as release plans.
  • Create, evaluate, and present complex technical business cases, “as-is” and “to-be” business processes, “current” and “future” technology integration design recommendations to business owners, management, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Excellent in creating Process flows diagrams (System and Vendor).
  • Ensure adherence to Change Management and Release Management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products
  • Ability to partner with development, operations and quality management teams to identify course of resolutions
  • In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Self-directed professional with strong business analysis and organizational skills
  • Must have a client serving approach and be able to help clients work through their business process issues and arrive at best practices solutions
  • Able to understand finance business functionality and translate it into application requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, including building collaboration and consensus among diverse teams of peers, vendors and upper management


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5 years’ experience in program and project management
  • 3 years’ product management experience


EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED
  • Master’s Degree in related field
