Director Cardiopulmonary - Full Time SMH

Position Summary

The director of Respiratory Services is directly responsible to the administrator or his/her designee and has the responsibility for overall direction, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteers and students utilized in the Respiratory Services department/facility. Additionally, the director is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all patient care programs, plans for providing care, performance improvement programs and policies and procedures; and for maintaining adequate qualified and competent personnel, adequate space and adequate equipment to ensure a high degree of quality patient care. The director will also ensure effective integration of the department/facility and develop an operations plan that complements the organization's plans for continuous performance improvement and the delivery of quality care.

Minimum Education - CRT or RRT

Minimum Experience - 2 years as staff respiratory therapist

Minimum Field of Experience - Graduate of accredited program in respiratory therapy

Required Certification/Registration - License of certification is required

Preferred Education - Bachelors degree
