The Commercial Sales Director is responsible for developing and leading sales programs that build strong relationships with key accounts, drive growth in target markets, and support collaboration with field leadership.

Compensation Information:
$110,000 - $140,000 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Full P&L management for region and KPI reporting.
    • Develop/lead/execute a commercial sales strategy aimed at driving revenue growth.
    • Lead and coach a team of regional Business Development Representatives, with specific focus on:
      • Driving new business, maximizing share on existing accounts and reengaging past customers
      • Prospecting across numerous business verticals, pipeline management and reporting, maintaining Salesforce records
      • Preparing for and leading discovery meetings and developing solutions
      • Proposal preparation and delivery
      • Effective communications both internally and customer facing
      • Project oversight and coordination, escalation and issue resolution, both internally and externally
      • Preparation and delivery of monthly QBRs
      • Salesforce expertise and best practices and analysis
      • Maintaining an owner mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Develop/implement accountability metrics and KPIs and ensure follow through from teams.
    • Attract, engage, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Sales Plan Deployment/Execution:
    • Meet company’s growth initiatives through innovative sales programs.
    • Work cross-functionally to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare/present regular reports on a variety of metrics and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
    • Establish structured sales meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years’ sales and account management experience and success in a director leadership role.
  • Experience managing revenues in excess of $100M, in a company with overall revenues of $1B or more a plus.
  • Prior successful change management experience.
  • Strong sales presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Salesforce with an emphasis on account management activities, pipeline controls, and timely follow through.
  • Flexible and able to pivot quickly, ability to create interim solutions until permanent tools/processes are available.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 60% on an overnight basis.
