JLL is seeking a senior leader to guide a West Coast utility client through this CRE transformation, working hand-in-hand with the Client's Director Workplace Strategy & Planning and leading a small team to define the future state operating model, develop a CRE transformation roadmap and guide implementation of new processes, frameworks and technologies. There will be a strong change leadership mandate for this role. The role will be charged with strategically framing opportunities, diagnosing issues, and solving for challenges across a variety of organizational levers to strengthen resiliency across the CRE organization.
What is the day to day?
Define the future state vision and key priorities for Client's CRE function, engaging key real estate stakeholders and critical partners to understand the current state and opportunities for improvement.
Support the Director Workplace Strategy & Planning to integrate new team members, helping to define their roles and describe how they will be connected across the organization (evolving from current to future state).
Perform an organizational gap assessment using JLL Consulting’s CRE Organizational DNA toolkit to identify transformation opportunities across the organization.
Review and identify opportunities across traits within three organizational categories: organize, operate, and behave.
Validate opportunities in alignment with the PG&E future state vision
Develop minimum viable changes (MVCs) for each opportunity to be embedded within a transformation roadmap
Conduct workstream alignment sessions to deepen understanding of strategic initiatives, and document key activities, timelines, and stakeholders into an integrated transformation roadmap.
Mobilize a Transformation Management Office (TMO) to execute strategic initiatives:
Establish team structure including core team, initiative-based teams and executive oversight
Develop meeting cadences, communication protocols, processes, reporting methods, and program tracking tools.
Launch the TMO to ensure clear understanding of governance, roles, responsibilities, strategic initiatives, activities, integrated roadmap/timeline, meeting cadence, reporting requirements, etc.
Kick off Strategic Initiatives teams.
Operationalize Reporting.
Run the TMO:
Manage program execution and coordinate decisions / issues / risk mitigation.
Track and report on status of key initiatives to integrated work plan.
Coordinate change and communications activities as required.
Maintain and periodically refresh transformation vision/objectives to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Measure outcomes / reinforce behaviors.
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
10+ years of client advisory experience, with an emphasis on CRE Operating Model Strategy, Change and/or Program Management within the Corporate Real Estate function.
Sound understanding of how real estate supports the achievement of enterprise level goals and objectives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
Proven ability to present to senior leadership and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Experience with large-scale, phased strategic change efforts.
Project execution experience, leadership, staff and client management skills.
Intellectually curious and creative.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
