As Director, Corporate Strategy, you will provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to our most senior leaders through the development of enterprise-wide strategic plans and objectives. In addition, you will lead a wide variety of cross-functional strategy projects related to Enterprise growth priorities, provide strategic support for M&A processes and external partnership opportunities, and present progress and recommendations to Humana's senior leadership and Board. Day-to-day activities will include overseeing a team of associates to prepare industry analysis, high level financial modeling, and qualitative analysis and synthesis of strategic options to create executive-level deliverables and recommendations for Humana's senior leaders and Board.
Key responsibilities include:
Operate in true consulting-like model, aligned to specific businesses or functional organizations (e.g., CenterWell, Insurance, Technology / IT, Finance). Engage as long-term strategic planning business partners, applying industry expertise and a consulting approach to drive organizational strategy and innovation.
Lead teams of 3-5 associates to execute analysis, market research, competitive intelligence and benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement inside and outside the organization
Convert strategy into business cases and projects while prioritizing timelines and ensuring consensus and execution
Support corporate development team on, as needed, on diligence and sector scans
Managing external relationships with key business partners
Developing and refining key team operating systems and individual team members
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who has experience in the healthcare industry, whether at a a top tier strategy consulting firm, in a large company, or a start-up / emerging company. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to influence peers and business leaders. This person must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work collaboratively with key leaders to shape the priorities and agenda for the Corporate Strategy group.
He/she also will be effective at multi-tasking and possess keen change management skills. Additional skills and competencies include:

Required Qualifications
BA/BS, MBA or other relevant degrees
5+ years consulting or corporate strategy experience
Proven experience setting priorities and defining the future direction of a company (i.e. competitive analysis, strategy road map, strategic investment prioritization)
Strong business acumen with proven ability to apply foundational strategy principles to a variety of business problems
Solid understanding of advanced analytics and ability to structure and manipulate complex data sets
Proven experience working directly with and interacting with executive leaders internally and externally
Passion for people development and demonstrated leadership success, including direct or indirect team leadership
Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills.
Experience with executive reporting, including senior leadership, management teams, and/or Boards.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience at top-tier strategy consulting firm or Fortune 500 corporate strategy team
Experience working in healthcare industry, preferably payer or provider space

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
