How will you make an impact in this role?

The Director - Cybersecurity(Endpoint Security Platform Engineering) reports to the VP of Cybersecurity, End User and Endpoint Defense Engineering, and is responsible for leading the strategy, engineering, and delivery of capabilities that protect enterprise endpoints and user environments from evolving cyber threat landscape. The Director will drive the endpoint threat mitigation program for a modern, cloud native infrastructure focused on prevention, detection, and response, while embedding automation and data-driven decision-making into all aspects of the function.

This leader will partner closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Incident Response organization, and broader Information Security teams to translate threat insights into scalable engineering solutions. The role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and operational discipline to deliver measurable risk reduction, enhance control effectiveness, and lead transformation initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for endpoint and user threat mitigation engineering, aligned with enterprise risk priorities.
  • Lead the design, build, and continuous improvement of security controls focused on endpoint and user protection across on-prem and cloud-native environments.
  • Translate threat intelligence and incident learnings into enhanced detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of automation and orchestration to improve scalability, consistency, and response times across security operations.
  • Establish and manage KPIs and KRIs to measure control effectiveness, operational performance, and risk reduction outcomes.
  • Lead large-scale transformation initiatives to modernize security engineering practices, including agile delivery and continuous integration models.
  • Oversee financial planning and management of a multi-million dollar budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and ROI.
  • Ensure alignment with industry frameworks, regulatory requirements, and adversary tactics to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Provide clear and concise executive reporting on strategy execution, risk posture, and program performance.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

Skills:
  • Deep expertise in endpoint and user-focused security engineering, including threat detection and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong background in building scalable, cloud-native security solutions and architectures.
  • Advanced experience with automation, data integration, scripting, and security orchestration functions
  • Proven ability to implement data-driven security programs using KPIs and KRIs.
  • Strong understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, and their application in defensive design.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing engineering teams and driving organizational change.
  • Financial and business acumen to manage budgets and align investments with risk reduction goals.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive engagement.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a mix of strategic and operational demands.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security, with a strong emphasis on security engineering.
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering enterprise-scale security initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience implementing security solutions in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated success in driving transformation and modernization efforts within security organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with threat intelligence, incident response, and broader security functions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and industry security frameworks.


Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
