The U.S. Consumer Services business is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day. Within U.S. Consumer Services, the Consumer Banking Organization is committed to providing members with Everyday Banking products that give members unparalleled value, service and convenience. About the Role
The Director of Deposit Product Analytics will lead a global team of analytics professionals dedicated to driving growth and customer engagement across the American Express Consumer Banking portfolio. This role sits within the Consumer Banking organization and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights that shape strategic decisions, enable primary customer relationships, and strengthen the overall banking business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a global team of 6+ analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Deliver data-driven recommendations that inform product strategy, customer growth initiatives, and money movement optimization.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Banking leadership team, transforming complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
- Own the Rewards Checking scorecard, including forecasting, performance reporting, and key performance indicator tracking.
- Lead the team through the AI transformation, embedding advanced analytical tools and automation to improve efficiency and insight generation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to align analytics insights with business priorities.
- Support audits, operational activities, and issue management to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards.
- Define priorities, manage project pipelines, and ensure high-quality, timely execution of analytical deliverables.
- Develop and refine frameworks for performance measurement, forecasting, and opportunity sizing.
- Champion the use of data and analytics to influence key business decisions across the Consumer Banking portfolio.

Qualifications- 7+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or related fields, ideally within financial services; deposits experience preferred.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, managing and developing analytical talent.
- Proficiency in SQL and Tableau, with experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities — able to distill technical findings into clear, business-relevant recommendations.
- Proven success collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a quantitative or business field preferred (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Data Science).
Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
